The 2022 Walk Slow has a dark, ruby red color. On the nose, strawberry and cherry fruits are surrounded by clove, cola spice and dried herbs along with a touch of earthiness and a touch of new French oak. On the palate this medium bodied wine is elegant and silky yet comes across as quite powerful at the same time. It boasts more of the red fruits and clove/cola spice found in the aroma. The finish is long and clean and is showing its youth at the moment. This wine will benefit from some aeration or decanting now, and it should age gracefully for a decade or more.
Bright, vibrant, light garnet color in the glass. The nose is fresh and intense with dusty, dark raspberry and sweet floral/herbal notes. On the palate the wine has mouth filling, medium weight and remains lively with more berries and an earthy forest floor quality. Fine tannins and a bit of spice from the light use of stems are apparent on the finish as well as a distinctive ocean mist like minerality.
